ABOUT THIS SESSION This 60-minute virtual session is designed for individuals and families who are navigating medical questions, diagnoses, treatment plans, hospital experiences, caregiving responsibilities, or healthcare system overwhelm. You will receive support in understanding medical information more clearly, organizing questions for your healthcare team, and identifying next steps so you can move forward with more confidence and less confusion. This is an educational and informational support session based on nursing experience in hospital, surgical, and hospice settings. WHAT TO EXPECT During your session, we may focus on: • Understanding medical information in clear, simple language • Organizing questions for your doctor or care team • Clarifying next steps in diagnosis or treatment processes • Navigating hospital discharge or care transitions • Supporting caregivers in complex medical situations You will leave the session with greater clarity, structure, and direction for your next steps. IMPORTANT INFORMATION This service does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or prescribing. It is not a replacement for care from a licensed healthcare provider. All medical decisions remain between you and your healthcare team. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately. Healthcare Education & Medical Navigation Policy The Holistress – Stephanie Whitfield, RN This service provides structured healthcare education and navigation support to help individuals better understand medical information, prepare for healthcare encounters, and communicate more effectively within healthcare systems. Scope of Service This session may include support with: understanding medical terminology and documentation preparing questions for healthcare providers organizing medical information and records understanding diagnoses, tests, and treatment options as presented by licensed providers navigating healthcare systems and care pathways surgical and procedural education for preparation purposes communication and advocacy strategies in clinical settings Important Clarification This service does not provide: medical diagnosis medical treatment or prescriptions clinical medical advice or instruction interpretation that replaces or overrides a licensed provider’s recommendations All medical decisions must be made in consultation with your licensed healthcare providers. Nature of Service This is an educational and navigation-based support service grounded in healthcare systems knowledge and patient advocacy. It is designed to increase understanding, clarity, and informed participation in your own care—not to replace medical care. Client Responsibility By booking this session, you acknowledge: you are seeking educational and informational support you understand this does not replace care from licensed providers you are responsible for your own healthcare decisions you will consult appropriate medical professionals for diagnosis and treatment Scheduling & Cancellation Policy All sessions at The Holistress require advance booking and reserved time allocation. Rescheduling & Cancellations A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel a session. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within less than 24 hours of the scheduled session time are non-refundable. This policy applies regardless of reason, due to the reserved nature of session time. Late Arrival Policy Clients are expected to arrive on time for their scheduled session. A grace period of up to 10–15 minutes may be allowed at the practitioner’s discretion. If a client arrives more than 20 minutes late without prior notice, the session will be considered a no-show and is non-refundable.
